Grace Bible College India

I am aware of a Bible college in India which is very young and in need of some serious financial help. Finding solid Biblical training is nearly impossible in a country where Christianity is openly persecuted by the predominant religion's of Hinduism and Islam. However, Grace Bible College has already found a way to come up with enough $$ to buy 4 acres of land and build an orphanage! Unfortunately this does not help the students who have been renting "dorms" and "classrooms" nearby. This brings us to the issue at hand. Their buildings were sold and the new landlord is not going to rent them to the students. They are officially homeless June 1st.

Sovereign Grace Church of Bakersfield is partnering with Indigenous Ministries International (IMI) and many other churches to try and raise the $200k necessary to build the rudimentary precast cement structure (not including paint or any other pleasantries) which will train and send out Indian Christians for generations to come. Often times I wonder where my donations go and how the $ is used. Here is an opportunity to know exactly what your hard earned $ is going to; and to realize that without your help, a rare Bible College in a country hostile to Christianity may literally not be built.

This is what I love about this particular opportunity. The Word of God says:

Matthew 25:40

'Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.'

Matthew 28:19-20

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."

Mark 10:21
And Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, "You lack one thing: go, sell all that you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me."

And those references don't even take into account the apostle Paul's writings about giving joyfully and sacrificially. But this is not supposed to be a treatise on Biblical giving. It is simply an opportunity to build a Christ honoring Bible college half way around the world. A college which truly has the opportunity to transform a country of more than a Billion people.

If you are interested in learning more about this project, or donating to the building fund, please visit the website. www.indiangrace.org

May God's grace and blessing be upon you.

keep in touch w/ me about this... Russ has talked to me a little about it. I am going to be moving up to Fresno and working for a church as the missional director. I am going to be pursuing a more clear over-seas effort and this could be part of it.
