Sovereign Grace is found in Jesus

Sovereign Grace is poured out on me,
A gift of grace so rich and free,
Though I’m a man who sinned in Adam,
God’s grace is giv’n abundantly.
Even after my transgressions,
God still pours His great love on me.
By law, I’m owed great penalty,
But by his grace, I’m counted free.

So up to him I lift my praises,
To my Lord, His Holiness.
He is the one through whom I’m rescued,
He is my life and righteousness.

How can God show favor to me,
Son of Adam deserving death?
It is because of Christ, my Savior,
The one who is my righteousness.
Sovereign Grace is found in Jesus,
The one in whom I am elect.
He is Lord, and my assurance,
He’s died and ris’n, my sweetest rest.

Sovereign Grace means God is for me,
A sinful man deserving wrath.
This can only be through my Savior,
The man whom our God counted sin.
Jesus is the second Adam,
He brought joy to the Lord.
He’s the one in whom I founded,
God’s favor’s mine forevermore.
